The values that drive our organization

We are determined to make a difference in the Appalachian community. Our goal is simple: to empower the region to be prepared for tough times and to foster long-term sustainability.

We understand the rich culture and resilience of the Appalachian people, who have learned to thrive despite facing challenges. That's why, instead of waiting for difficult times to come, we want to proactively work towards recession-proofing the region.

One of the core values that drives our organization's activities is our belief in coming together and supporting one another in times of need. We are not just a company, but a community that works together towards a common goal.

At GWA, we also place a strong emphasis on being good stewards to the land and animals in our care, as this is essential for our long term well-being. By fostering a finely tuned community, we can live well, grow, and heal together.

We take a holistic and strategic approach towards creating a sustainable community, as we believe this is the key to overcoming any challenges that may come our way. In a time of chaos, whether nationally or globally, we want to be ready to support and uplift each other.

Our ultimate aim is to make a positive impact and create a resilient community that can withstand any difficult situation. Join us on our journey to make the Appalachian region a place of strength and opportunities for all. Let's make a difference together.

Being a highly sensitive Empath made it important for me to understand how the energy, illnesses, and thoughts of others affected me. Feeling the pain and issues of others was quite debilitating until I realized that I didn't have to run from the sensory gifts I was born with. Rather than shut down, I embraced the gift and have been using it to help alleviate suffering.
